1. What is Integrated Circuit and Information Technology (ICIT)?

Integrated Circuit and Information Technology Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 9001:2008 organization ICIT was incepted in the year 2000 and has an MoU with Savitribai Phule Pune University’s Department of Electronics. Its objective is to develop high quality and latest infrastructure facilities to conduct value added courses of the University in Embedded, VLSI and Advanced Computing. It has also maintained separate Human Resources and Placement Cell. Efforts are made to provide excellent educational and academic opportunities to the students which include access to experienced faculty from Industry and live projects. So far ICIT has trained more than 6300 students. Successful students get a certificate from the University. ICIT also provides assistance to students through their placement cell in renowned companies like – Hella India, Emerson, SASKEN, Hyundai Mobis, Behr Hella, Integra Microsystems. Bangalore, KPIT, iGate, GIC, Tech Mahindra, Magnasteyr India Ltd., CMS Mumbai, S. T. Microelectronics New Delhi, Softdel Systems, Honeywell (Bangalore), E-Infochips Ltd., Wavelet Group., Whirlpool India Ltd., Renu Electronics, Frontline Technologies, Emerson Design Engineering Center, Mahindra Electronic Design & Development Company, Cypress Semiconductors, Spectross Digital Systems, Magneti Marreli. These companies offer packages between 2.4 and 3.5 lakhs to deserving students with good performance. In the years 2007 & 2008 placement was less due to recession.

2. Lodging / Boarding facility at ICIT.

ICIT will assist students in getting accommodation in private houses in surrounding areas outside the University. The rent is approximately Rs. 4000/- per month

3. What is the admission process for ICIT courses?

Admissions are given only through a Common Entrance Test. CET is conducted in January, July/August .Registration for CET will be available one month prior , Online / Offline.

4. Details related to CET and rules to be observed after admission?

Admission rules (extract)

a. Minimum 80% attendance in lectures & laboratory is compulsory failing which the student will not be allowed to appear for the final examination.

b. Students who do not attend final exams (theory or practical) or project presentations will be treated as absent and will not be awarded the course certificate.

IN BOTH THE ABOVE CASES STUDENT WILL HAVE TO TAKE ADMISSION TO THE NEXT BATCH AND PAY THE ENTIRE FEE AGAIN.

5. ICIT course timings

Lectures are conducted for 2 hours per day (Monday to Saturday) and practical sessions are conducted for 4-6 hours per day so that students get extensive hands-on training. Industrial projects are allotted to students.

6. Reservation quotas for admissions only, no fee concession

Rules & Regulations as per University norms are followed for giving admissions and there is no concession in fees for students under the reservation quotas.

7. Course Fee

Rs. 85,000 (To be paid in two installment by Demand Draft drawn in favour of “ICIT Pvt. Ltd. Pune”; 1st installment of Rs. 50,000 with admission confirmation & 2nd installment to be paid after one month .

8. Cancellation of admission and refund of fee.

Course fee has to be paid lumpsum as per the dates decided by ICIT before a batch commences. Admission is confirmed when a candidate pays the course fee (part payment or full payment). The candidate cancelling his confirmed admission will be entitled to receive the refund of fees after deducting the amounts as indicated below:
1. From 1st day to 10 days from the date of confirming admission, 20% of the total fee will be deducted.
2. From 11th day to 30 days from the date of confirming admission, 40% of the total fee will be deducted.
3. After 30 days from the date of confirming admission, 100% of the total fee will be deducted.

9. Value of ICIT course internationally

ICIT courses are conducted with academic support from the Savitribai Phule Pune University and hence have good recognition world-wide. In fact ICIT has been approached by many international Universities for student exchange programmes. ICIT has one such MoU with ISEP, France and will have collaboration with more Universities for the benefit of Indian students.

10. Certificate Course in Embedded System Design – Placement

The Embedded systems design course aims at preparing candidates to work as Embedded Software Developers & Embedded Hardware Developers in core Embedded Companies / Automotive Embedded domain MNC’s. Candidates are required to work in R&D department of companies, wherein they do programming of Various microcontrollers in Embedded C. The practical hands on exposure, which is imparted to candidates during the course helps them to start working on live projects of companies with minimum On – Boarding time. Most of the Embedded Candidates work in the R&D centers of Automotive Embedded MNC’s like KNORR BREMSE, BROSE, HELLA, BEHR HELLA THERMO CONTROL, LEAR CORPORATION, MARQUARDT, MAGNASTEYR, HYUNDAI MOBIS, EXPLEO, UNO MINDA, AVIN SYSTEMS, SEDEMAC MECHATRONICS, WHIRLPOOL GTEC, SOFTDEL SYSTEMS, VOLANSYS TECHNOLOGIES, AGILIAD TECHNOLOGIES etc.

11. Purpose of preparatory course (Pre Embedded).

These courses focuses on imparting basic and fundamental skills and prepares the students for taking admission to Certificate Course in Embedded System Design of SP Pune University.

12. Other details of the preparatory courses.

These courses are conducted in the premises of the Dept. of Electronic Science, S P Pune University. .Students complete this course and appear for the CET of any of the Certificate Courses of the University and after taking admission to a Certificate Course successfully, the fee paid for Preparatory course is reimbursed. Hence this is a free course which improves employabilty of students after successfully completing the 6 months full time Certificate Course. The fee paid for preparatory course is not refundable under any circumstances.

13. What is ISEP?

The Institut Superieur d’ Electronique de’Paris (ISEP) is a French engineering graduate college in information and communication technologies, known as a “Grande Ecole d’Ingenieurs”. ISEP trains very high level graduate engineers who receive a thorough training in Electronics, Telecommunications, Software Engineering and Signal Image Processing, providing them with the required knowledge to meet the needs of businesses.The College has over 50 years standing and good ranking in Europe. It offers an international French Engineering Master Degree Program (FEMDP) which allows international students to obtain the Master Degree. These MS programmes are recognized by the French government, accredited by the national French engineering committee CTI and includes a professional internship.

14. What is the MS (FEMDP) programme?

Highlights and Benefits:

About 150 lecturers from various industries take part in training the students.
Strong partnership with over 500 industries and companies.
On-site experience through paid internship (stipend of around 900 € per month)

Starting salary of 43,000 € per year on average given by French companies.
ISEP is located in the historical and cultural heart of Paris.

Course Structure
The entire course is taught in English
All semesters to be completed entirely in Paris
First semester commences in September every year.
Admission process starts in January every year
Course fee is 16,120 euro.
Accommodation and food expenses are between 600 and 700 euro per month (assistance provided by ISEP to get good and affordable accommodation).
Visa expense is around 75 euro
Airline ticket costs between 600 and 700 euro.
Semester 4 consists of Internship (duration = 6 months, stipend between 600 to 1500 euro per month).
Salary starts with 3,000 to 3500 euro per month with a contract of 2 years at a time.
Students who complete ICIT course get direct admission to second semester.
Second semester starts in February every year..
Admission process starts 4 months before i.e. October of previous year.
All other benefits and expenses are same as above.

15. What is the fee structure of MS (FEMDP) programme?

Fee is 16,120 euro for the entire course (8,060 euro to be paid to confirm admission and balance amount to be paid upon reaching Paris) Fee for 3 semesters is 12,090 euro (6,045 euro to be paid to confirm admission and balance amount to be paid upon reaching Paris)

16. Can students avail of any scholarships for MS (FEMDP) program?

A number of scholarships are available for students desirous of pursuing the entire course in Paris. The details of such scholarships are posted on our website as and when they are announced OR students may visit Campus France and/or Alliance Francaise to get more details.

17. What is the eligibility for MS (FEMDP)?

B.E. / B. TECH. in Electronics, E & TC, Instrumentation and equivalent for FEMDP in Wireless Telecommunications or Embedded Systems.
B.E. / B.TECH. or equivalent in any stream for FEMDP in Software Engineering.
For all FEMDP programs students are required to submit their TOEFL or equivalent certificate with a minumum score of 550.

18. How does a student save Rs. 5 Lacs after doing ICIT course and enrolling to semester 2 of the MS programme?

Note: The currency exchange rate used here is Rs. 70 for 1 €. First Semester starts in September every year while second semester starts in February every year. Hence extra expenses incurred are for 5 months.

19. Can this course be done in India?

The course is conducted in Paris in ISEP’s premise only. The entire course is delivered in English.

20. How many students have gone to ISEP?

78 students have taken admission since the year 2010.

21. Is the FEMDP degree recognized in India and the world?

FEMDP degree of ISEP is at par with other degrees of same duration in India and rest of the world.

22. Does ICIT help students getting education Loans?

ICIT will provide supporting documents required to procure a bank loan.

24. Do you guarantee placement after completion of the course?

No, we do not guarantee placement after completion of the course. However we do provide assistance to the students by organizing campus / on-site interviews as and when companies have requirements. Placement of students and the placement percentage of a batch depends on the industry requirements, job market scenario and the performance of students in the interviews.
